A new symbol of luxury in Rome
In 2027, the Rosewood Hotel will open in Rome, a new ultra-luxury hotel born from the redevelopment of three historic palazzos on Via Veneto, including the former headquarters of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro designed by Marcello Piacentini. A project that combines the preservation of historic heritage, contemporary design and cutting-edge building systems engineering, with 155 guest units, around 50 suites, restaurants, a rooftop bar and a Roman Bathhouse housed in the bank’s former vault.
A new symbol of luxury in RomeThe comfort you can’t see
In a setting of this caliber, luxury also comes through what can’t be seen: air quality, thermal comfort and silence. For air distribution, P3ductal pre-insulated indoor ducts were chosen — a lightweight, high-performance solution particularly well-suited to a complex, multifaceted redevelopment project.
Silence as part of the experience
In an ultra-luxury hotel, even the noise produced by building systems can compromise the guest experience. That’s why acoustics were treated as a central element of the design. The sandwich structure of the P3ductal ducts, with a polyurethane core, helps dissipate vibrations and reduce noise levels. Studies and testing carried out in collaboration with the Department of Technical Physics at the University of Padua also made it possible to optimize the system’s acoustic performance.
Efficiency, wellbeing and sustainability
The choice of P3ductal also supports the project’s sustainability and wellbeing goals, aligned with the requirements of LEED V5 and WELL V2 certifications. High air-tightness, thermal insulation, interior surface quality and the system’s lightweight design combine efficiency, comfort and respect for the structural characteristics of the historic building. At Rosewood Rome, technology works behind the scenes to turn air into an essential component of the luxury experience.
